Los Bros: Latin Fusion Activator
San Francisco Bay Area melds vital dance energies
Los Bros crosses the border musically, to reflect the musical harmony of Latin American and North American cultures.
Combining beautiful boleros, mambos and other Latin traditions with modern Californian influences and progressive social awareness, Los Bros produces a unique yet familiar sound that reminds us of our shared heritage. Through the universal language of music, Los Bros seeks to embrace our greater musical family.
Los Bros' new recording: Cha Cha Georgie, features five songs, including the title track, penned by Hadley and dedicated to the departure of The Shrub - or Arbusto - as hes called in the song. Another great protest song is also included: The Stephen Stills classic - For What Its Worth, featuring the inimitable Fantuzzi on lead vocals. Also included is a beautiful bolero interpretation of the rare and haunting Gnossienne #1 by Eric Satie (1890), as well as two other classics: Bien Sabroso by the LA peludo Poncho Sanchez, and TiMonBo, the familiar Descarga from Mongo Santamarias 1962 album.
